How to add tools on the ICOR Framework
Watch the quick walkthrough video at the top of this article, or follow the steps below. You add and organize your tools on the ICOR Framework, the visual map of your setup.
The four areas
The center of the framework is a Venn diagram of four areas:
PKM - Personal Knowledge Management
PPM - Personal Productivity Management
BPM - Business Productivity Management
BKM - Business Knowledge Management
A tool can sit in one area or overlap several.
Add a tool in three steps
Open the ICOR Framework. The right panel is titled "Tool Organization - add tools and organize them by type."
Search for your tool in the "Search tools..." box. When you pick it, it lands in your Tool Tray.
Drag it onto the map into the area or areas it serves.
Kinds of tools
Core apps - the main hubs you work in for an area.
Satellite apps - smaller helpers around a core app.
Utility apps - general tools that support many areas (shown in the Utility Apps list).
You can also link connections between tools to see your whole setup as one connected picture.
Note
/tool-stack is the Tool Inventory, a read-only overview of your stack (Core / Satellite / Utility lists plus cost and coverage panels). You do not add or remove tools there. To change your stack, use the ICOR Framework.
To remove a tool, see How to remove tools on the ICOR Framework.
