How to switch your login method (Google vs email)

Switching between Google and email + password is not self-serve. Identify your current method, then send support three details to make the switch.

How to switch your login method (Google vs email)

Heads up: this one is not self-serve. Switching between Google and email + password is a quick job for our support team, not a button in your settings.

First, identify yourself

There are two ways people sign in. Pick the one that sounds like you.

Signed up with Google

  • You click "Continue with Google" to get in

  • You never set a myICOR password

  • Your email is the Google account you used (often a Gmail)

  • Forgot password won't help you, there's no password to reset

Signed up with email + password

  • You type an email and a password to get in

  • You set that password when you joined

  • The Google button isn't part of your routine

  • Forgot password sends you a reset email

Still unsure? Try "Continue with Google" once. If it logs you straight in, you're a Google member. If it says no account exists for that email, you're an email + password member.

Make the switch: send support three things

  1. Open a message to support. Use the in-app chat, or reply to any email we've sent you.

  2. Give us these three details: the email on your account, your current method (Google, or email + password), and the method you want to switch to.

  3. We make the switch and confirm. We update your login method and write back. Then you sign in the new way.

Signed up twice? We can merge them

Some members accidentally create two accounts: one with Google and one with email + password, often with slightly different emails. If that's you, your progress and access can end up split across both.

Tell support both email addresses and which one you'd like to keep. We'll merge them into a single account so nothing is lost.
